2. The Silent Breakfast

The morning sun streamed through the tall windows of the Rathore mansion, glinting off the polished silverware and illuminating the spread of breakfast laid across the grand table.Ā

-Rathore Mansion-

Plates overflowed with steaming choas, golden parathas, fresh fruits, and piping hot tea, but the real feast was the sound of laughter and chatter of the younger generation.

Arjun nudged Vivaan, grinning. "Last one to the hill station pays for ice cream!"

"Ha! You wish," Vivaan shot back, snatching a paratha from Arjun's plate.

Kavya rolled her eyes, flicking a piece of toast at Arya. "You two are hopeless. Why do you always argue over everything?"

Rhea leaned forward, her eyes sparkling. "We definitely need to start with the hill station trek. And then the boating..."

"And a picnic by the lake!" Myra added enthusiastically, bouncing in her seat. "I've packed my camera already!"

Kaarthik chuckled from the end of the table. "You're all acting like a travel agency. Ice cream first, adventure later priority!"

The room erupted with laughter, spoons clinking against plates, and voices overlapping in the joyous chaos.

Then...

Rudraksh Rathore stepped in, tall and commanding, with the kind of presence that made the room pause mid-laugh.
His dark eyes scanned the table, taking in the chaos, the smiles, the teasing and in an instant, the chatter faded. Even the cousins, usually bold and mischievous, felt themselves stilling under the weight of his gaze.

-Rudraksh Rathore-

Meera Rathore, graceful yet firm, approached him, her voice gentle but decisive.
"Rudraksh... we need to talk about your future. It's time you should think about marriage. Someone to share your life with, to support you..."

Rudraksh took a slow sip of his tea, his calm gaze never leaving hers. "Maa," he said, his voice deep and measured, "I'm not interested. I have responsibilities my company, the projects I've committed to. That is my focus right now."

A ripple of murmurs went around the table. Arjun leaned forward, trying his luck. "But Rudraksh bhai... everyone gets married eventually. Don't you want someone to..."

Rudraksh's eyes swept across them, calm yet commanding. The room seemed to shrink under his presence.

Vivaan straightened in his chair, suddenly feeling the weight of his elder brother's aura.
"I said no," Rudraksh interrupted, gentle yet final. "I make my own choices, and this is not one of them. I run a company, a legacy I'm building. Marriage isn't on my priority list."

Rhea, softer this time, tried again. "But Bhaii... someday, don't you want someone by your side?"

Rudraksh leaned back, sunlight catching the sharp angles of his face, making him look serene and untouchable. "Someday... maybe. But not now. Not when my focus is needed elsewhere."

The cousins fell silent, secretly admiring him while groaning inwardly.
His aura calm, powerful, unyielding was magnetic. Even in refusal, he commanded respect, obedience, and a little fear.

Meera sighed, a small, resigned smile on her face. "As you wish, Rudraksh. But don't think we've forgotten this conversation."

Rudraksh simply nodded and returned his attention to his breakfast, leaving the table buzzing silently with unspoken thoughts.

As the eldest Rathore left the room, the younger cousins exchanged glances, whispers and mischievous smiles spreading among them.

"He's impossible," Arya murmured, rolling her eyes.

"But imagine a bhabi," Kavya whispered conspiratorially. "Someone to finally handle him... and maybe make our lives a little easier."

"Or at least keep him from scaring us during breakfast," Myra added, giggling.

Arjun leaned back, smirking. "Let's just hope fate works faster than him. One day, Rudraksh bhai will marry... and then we'll finally have our ally."

Though unspoken, the plan was clear: they would secretly root for Rudraksh to find someone who could match his presence, someone strong enough to share his life and soften the edges of their formidable, aloof elder brother.

For now, though, the breakfast continued, laughter slowly returning but the memory of Rudraksh's aura lingered, commanding, unshakable, and utterly magnetic.
